When you flip the switch to turn on the light you expect there will be light, right? Unless, of course, there is a power outage or a burned out light bulb. When you flip the switch you most definitely expect there will be light. You do not doubt this for one moment. You do not stand by the light switch and wonder or doubt if there will be light when you flip the switch. You do not ask, do I deserve there to be light in this room? You do not fear whether there will be light in your home tomorrow. You just know there will be light. You know that if there is not light, it will be fixable.
Do you have the same expectation of your life? Do you expect that when you open your eyes your life will be full of good things to come? Or do you wake in a state of worry, fear, overwhelm, anxiety, or dread? If you are experiencing good things in your life, are you waiting for the other shoe to drop?
Do you realize that by the power of your expectation you can flip the switch of your life experience? Everything starts in the mind and then is manifested into your reality. Do you realize that your peace and happiness are really a matter of flipping a switch? When you expect the best of your life you will begin to create a life of satisfaction, fullness, contentment, happiness, peace and more. Even when there are, what you call misfortunes, it is really only an opportunity to empower yourself to see a new vantage point. To see that life is happening for you, not to you. There are many in your world that have experienced great tragedy or misfortune. We all know of a heroic story or two. We have been inspired by those who have been able to take their misfortune and become the hero of their story, inspiring others to let the adversity in their life become their greatest gift to others.
Every morning when you wake, flip the switch to light your best life. Your past does not need to predict your future. Take your personal history and see it as a heroic journey of your soul. A journey of courage, strength and resilience. Don't let yesterday determine your future, let it forge a new path forward.
